Pre ESOL course Project: WAD will run two 6 month programmes over 12 months. These sessions will be aimed at people who can’t attend ESOL classes because their language skills do not make it possible. This is because they are cannot read and             write the English language or even their own language. These sessions will be the most basic form of learning. This training will be delivered by a qualified ESOL  trainer.

Pre ESOL course started in September the 20th at Cedar Park Queens Road Ashton under Lyne where we have 15 students and 4 volunteers to help the tutor because we have some student really need a special support on the course. The course started well and will be taking place at Cedar Park every Thursday from 10.00am to 1.00pm. We also arranging with Tameside College to help for accredited the course by having an exam taking by student to able them to Access College after the course.

The programme will help you build the confidence to: Recognise when someone may be experiencing problems. Actively listen to people with problems.

WAD volunteers are a crucial part of our organisation. Working as one team, we combine skills and experience to create positive change for everyone not just in Tameside but everywhere in the UK

Our members are often isolated and hard to reach people in the community, who may be new to the country. We aim to help by breaking down barriers to integration.
