    Part-Time Administration and Communication Officer – Tameside African Gallery Pilot Project

    The Part-Time Administration and Communication Officer will support the project manager and the management
    committee in facilitating the work plan delivery over the next 12 months, bringing together communities from across
    Tameside and neighboring areas to learn more about African customs and traditions. Successful candidate will have
    experience of administrating, taking minutes and records of meetings, having a working relationship with the third
    sector organisation and have experience of facilitating work around inequalities affecting African communities and
    have experience of dialogue, collaboration and partnerships working with various sectors across the area.

     Event Assistant (Volunteer)

    Your role will be to support a variety of different heritage events from planning and preparation to setting up and
    running activities on the day. It’s about offering something fun and memorable for visitors and encouraging them to
    return to us and tell their friends and families about us. Helping to prepare for the event – this might involve preparing
    craft activities, information and signage, setting up displays and activities, moving tables and chairs, putting up
    gazebos. Providing a warm, friendly welcome to all visitors as the public face WAD and answering any questions and
    encouraging people to get involved in the events/activities. Getting visitors to feed back on the event by filling in
    comment cards or questionnaires. There may be other activities where we could use your help i.e. raffle ticket sales,
    photocopying resources.

    Freelance Project Manager – Tameside African Gallery Pilot Project

    The Project Manager will support the management committee in ensuring work plan delivery over the next 12 months,
    bringing together communities from across Tameside and neighboring areas to learn more about African customs
    and traditions. Successful candidate will have experience of working within the third sector, managing voluntary and
    community programmes to address inequalities affecting African communities and have experience of dialogue,
    collaboration and partnerships working with various sectors across the area.
